Residential Weekly Trash Cart Service

Residential service with Indiana Waste Service includes the use of one 96-gallon cart, which holds about 7 regular kitchen trash bags. In addition to the Indiana Waste trash cart, customers may put out 3 trash bags or 2 garbage containers as well as 1 bulk item per week. For more information, please review the .

Rural Residential Dumpster Service 

These dumpsters are great for home-based businesses, farms or rural homes with long driveways. Choose the size and pickup frequency that works best for you. Dumpsters range in size from a 2 cubic yard to an 8 cubic yard capacity. Pickup frequency ranges from weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.

Acceptable and Unacceptable Items for Pickup

The Weekly Trash Collection Limit Includes:

  • 1 Indiana Waste Service 96 gallon cart provided with your service
  • 2 additional trash cans of your own or 3 garbage bags - NO loose trash will be accepted. Trash must be placed in bags or trash cans.
  • 1 large bulk item  (see list below)
Please consider our drivers safety, especially regarding heavy items, heavy trash carts and trash cans, sharp items, as well as items that could potentially be a health risk for our drivers.

 

Bulk Items
  • Stoves, washers, dryers, hot water heaters, etc.
  • Mattresses, sofas, chairs, furniture items, etc.
  • Tree trimmings and branches - NOT to exceed 2” diameter and 4 ft. length. Must be bundled together with rope or string. Loose piles will not be serviced.  
  • Carpet - rolled and cut to 4 ft. in length. Must be bundled with tape or rope. Do not exceed 4 bundles per pickup. 
  • Wood/Lumber -no larger than 4”x 4”. Must be cut to 4 ft. in length or less.
Additional Information for Weekly Trash and Recycling Pickup
  • Please place carts and containers as close to the road as possible.
  • Please place trash on the opposite side of the driveway from your mailbox.
  • Please have the front of the cart facing the road and the handles facing your property.
  • Please leave space between carts for the automatic dumping arm to reach in between the carts.
  • Please put your heaviest item inside the Indiana Waste cart. if you use your own containers, place the lightest items inside those.
  • Please bag all trash that goes inside your trash carts. This helps keeps items from blowing away as we dump the trash carts.
  • Please note that all trash exceeding the limit may be left behind unless you have contacted our office prior to your collection day to schedule an extra pickup. Additional charges may apply. 

     

 

Unacceptable Items for Disposal

For items deemed unsafe or hazardous, please contact our office for proper disposal. A special pickup or a drop off at our facility may be an option. Additional charges will apply.
  • Hazardous material such as paints, pesticides, solvents, motor oil, acids, pool chemicals, etc.
  • Batteries and jumper packs
  • Leaves
  • Hot ash
  • Computers, TVs, small appliances and all other electronic devices
  • Heavy steel, iron or metal such as long poles or beams
  • Fluorescent bulbs or tubes
  • Gas, gas tanks or gas cans
  • Tires
  • Liquid waste of any kind
  • Medical/Biohazardous waste, needles, syringes, human waste (except diapers)
  • Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers - EPA law requires that a certified technician evacuates the freon from the item. A certification sticker must be placed on the item in order to receive pickup. Contact our office for more information.
